SID482 Employer Sponsored Visa
On December 7, 2024, the Skills Needs (SID) visa replaced the Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) visa. The 482 visa is a temporary work visa established by the Australian government for Australian companies to hire various professionals or skilled workers from overseas, aimed at filling the skills shortage within the company in a fast and flexible manner. The employer nominates the applicant and guarantees their employment.
The SID 482 employer sponsored visa is divided into three categories:
1) Specialty Skills Stream
2) Core Skills Strea
3) Category of Labor Agreement Stream

·The types of positions available for application are diverse, with low language requirements and only one year of work experience required. Many positions cannot be directly applied for as skilled immigrants; Professionalism can be achieved through employer sponsorship for immigration;

SID482 visa requirements for guarantee companies
·Legitimate and ongoing business operations;
·Financial stability and no record of poor business performance (such as no tax evasion record at the tax bureau);
·To meet the requirements of SAF Levy, small businesses (with an annual turnover of less than AUD 10 million) are required to pay AUD 1200 per year, while other businesses are required to pay AUD 1800 per year;
·The positions nominated by the company must be genuine, and it is recommended to undergo local labor market testing in Australia;
·The annual salary paid to visa applicants must comply with Core Skills Income Threshold (*CSIT)、Specialist Skills Income Threshold(*SSIT)、

Requirements for SID482 visa applicants
Professional Skills Stream visa applicant
·No age limit;
·No list restrictions, applicable to any profession (except for technical workers, machinery operators and drivers, and laborers);
·Income above the Professional Skills Income Threshold (SSIT): $135000
·Education and work experience must meet the requirements of ANZSCO (v2022) for the profession;
·Applying for a 482 visa only requires 1 year of relevant work experience;
·English requirements: IELTS score 4 out of 5 or PTE score 4 out of 36;
·After working for the nominated employer for at least 2 years, one can apply for a 186 permanent residency visa;
·The applicant's family has passed the medical examination and obtained a certificate of no criminal record;
·Purchase private medical insurance during the visa holding period;
Core Skills Stream visa applicant
·No age limit;
·Apply for a position on the CSOL career list;
·Income above the Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT): $73150
·Education and work experience must meet the requirements of ANZSCO (v2022) for the profession;
·Applying for a 482 visa only requires 1 year of relevant work experience;
·English requirements: IELTS score 4 out of 5 or PTE score 4 out of 36;
·After working for the nominated employer for at least 2 years, one can apply for a 186 permanent residency visa;
·The applicant's family has passed the medical examination and obtained a certificate of no criminal record;
·Purchase private medical insurance during the visa holding period;
Category of Labor Agreement Stream Visa Applicant
·No age limit;
·Apply for a position on the Labour Agreement checklist;
·Education and work experience must meet the requirements of ANZSCO (v2022) for the profession;
·Applying for a 482 visa requires relevant work experience, with specific years referred to in the Labour Agreement;
·English requirement: Refer to the Labour Agreement protocol;
·After working for the nominated employer for a specified number of years (as specified in the Labour Agreement), one can apply for a 186 permanent residency visa;
·The applicant's family has passed the medical examination and obtained a certificate of no criminal record;
·Purchase private medical insurance during the visa holding period;
