Skilled Nominated Visa（Subclass 190）

The 190 state sponsored immigration visa belongs to the category of skilled migration. Based on the applicant's expertise, English proficiency, work experience, etc., the application is nominated by the Australian state/territory government and passes a scoring test to obtain an EOI invitation from the immigration department to complete the skilled migration permanent residence visa. After successful immigration, it is necessary to reside in the sponsoring state for two years before settling in other areas.

Obtaining a State Sponsorship will earn an additional 5 points, so according to the scoring criteria, applicants who have already reached 60 points can consider applying for a State Sponsorship, which will add the 5 points to the minimum score of 65 points. Of course, applicants need to score 60 points themselves to be eligible to apply for state government sponsorship. It is worth noting that state government guaranteed bonus points and family bonus points cannot be duplicated.

Basic Requirements for 190 State Sponsored Visa:

·Age under 45 years old;  

·The occupation is on the Medium and Long term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or Short term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) occupation list, as well as on a state government guaranteed occupation list, and has passed the occupational assessment;  

·Eligibility to obtain state government guarantees;  

·By scoring at least 60 points through the technical immigration scoring system and obtaining a state guarantee of 5 points, reaching 65 points will result in an EOI invitation (please refer to the bottom of the scoring table);  

·IELTS score at least 4 out of 6;

·Meet physical and quality requirements.

Each state government has different requirements for state government sponsorship applications, which generally include key points such as nominated occupation, English proficiency, and work experience. 190 state sponsorship applications require a professional assessment, with the profession listed on the MLTSSL or STSOL list, as well as on the sponsorship profession list of the state/territory government being applied for. The English language requirement is that all IELTS scores must be no less than 6, but different states have different requirements for IELTS scores, work experience, exemption conditions, residence time, etc. for different professions. For applicants whose occupations are on the MTSSL or STSOL occupation list and have a score difference of 5 points or more according to the technical immigration scoring system of 65 points, they can obtain an additional 5 points by applying for state government guarantees to submit timely immigration visa applications.
